We advise arriving in San José the day before (a buffer for travel delays) — the group shuttle departs Monday ~9:30am; the Sansa flight is also an option. Sunrise and sunset are ~5:30, every day.

Nourishment, pura vida style
Local chefs cook for us all week — traditional Costa Rican dishes and vibrant plant-forward cuisine, built around whatever the market and the farms have that morning. Daily brunch, dinner, fresh juices, and snacks around every practice.
Meals are shared at long tables in the open air — this is where the cultural exchange happens: recipes swapped, Spanish practiced, stories told over passion fruit and cas juice. Dietary needs are welcome; just tell us when you register.
Rest in the Nest
Ten characterful rooms and an artist's apartment, tucked into the gardens around the pool. Every room has air conditioning, and the jungle sings you to sleep.
Double Occupancy
$2,600Private room featuring two twin beds that can be combined into a king, air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a small outdoor seating area opening onto the garden. The friendliest way to stay.
Single Occupancy
Queen bed in a private cabina, with shared access to a bathroom, full kitchen, living room and air conditioning. Set by the pool, it includes a front porch for enjoying the outdoor atmosphere.
Private Suite

Adventure between practices
Every afternoon holds free time — fill it with waterfalls and beaches, or claim a pool chair and do gloriously nothing.

Uvita Waterfall
~$9Tuesday's excursion — swim under the falls, then wander the butterfly garden. Small entry fee, big payoff.
Nauyaca Waterfall
$30–80Thursday's big adventure — hike, horseback, or truck to one of Costa Rica's mightiest falls. Or opt for a beach walk instead.
Massage at the Nest

El Nido — “The Nest”
A boutique retreat center in Barrio La Colonia, Uvita, on Costa Rica's Southern Pacific coast. Ten characterful rooms plus an artist's apartment for up to 23 guests, a purpose-built yoga studio for 25 mats, and a palm-fringed pool with a waterfall. Wake to howler monkeys; watch for the resident sloth.
